Parish Mission
The preaching of Parish Missions and Novenas lies at the heart of the Redemptorist charism from the earliest days of our Congregation. They have been a part of the faith development of many parishes throughout Ireland. Over the years, the format of Redemptorist Missions and Novenas has been shaped to respond to the changing needs of the local church.
A Parish Mission or Novena is:
- A time to celebrate the faith of a Parish Community
- An opportunity to renew its commitment to the faith
- An occasion to initiate or reinforce structures for building the faith of the parish community in the years ahead
Redemptorist Parish Missions and Novenas are conducted, in the Ecclesiastical Provinces of Armagh and Dublin, by a team of Redemptorists and co-workers, who are members of the Clonard Community. The co-ordinator of the team and contact person for those interested in a Parish Mission is:

Prayer for your Parish
O Jesus,
help us as the parish of _________________
to make you the centre of our lives.
Through the power of your Holy Spirit
help us to repent of
the wrongs we have done,
that we may be refreshed in spirit
and renewed in hope.
Through that same Spirit,
help us to be good to one another
and to be faithful to you,
as we live out our vocations:
married, single, widowed, priest, religious,
so that our homes and our parish
may be filled with your presence
and be powerful sources
of your peace. Amen.
